How to Add a Marquee Text Banner to Your Shopify Store (No Code)
Marquees got a bad name in the 90s, but modern Shopify stores use them tastefully — gentle horizontal scroll, ~24px per second, with content like 'FREE SHIPPING · 20% OFF SITEWIDE · ENDS TONIGHT' separated by glowing dots. Here's the no-code setup.
Step 1: Install PulseBar
Go to the Shopify App Store, search PulseBar, click Install. Permissions take 30 seconds.
Step 2: Pick the Marquee template
In the PulseBar admin, click 'New bar' and select Marquee. You'll see live preview on the right.
Set 'Pause on hover' to true. It improves accessibility and signals interactivity. Reduced-motion users get a static fallback automatically.
Step 3: Schedule & publish
Set a start/end date, pick target pages (or all), click Publish. The bar appears on your storefront immediately — no theme edits required.
